Collections Guidelines
To develop a set of guidelines regarding field documentation and collection that will be available to both the academic and commercial vertebrate paleontology community via the SVP Web site. The purpose of these guidelines is to help preserve information pertaining to specimen context as well as the specimens themselves before they leave the field. The guidelines will be formulated based on the knowledge and experiences of the Committee and the broader vertebrate paleontology community and represent a range of collecting situations and goals.
