In order to become a member of the society, applicants must complete the SVP Membership Application and submit it electronically using the link provided below, or by sending the application to the SVP Business Office at the address listed below.
SVP Members: Renew your membership online. You will be asked to log in. Once at the Members' Only Home Page, if you owe dues for the current year, you will see a link entitled 'Dues Reminder' in the left navigation bar. Click that to renew your dues online. DO NOT use the new member application to renew your dues.

Emeritus Membership - $25
An option for SVP members who are retired from formal employment and have been a member of SVP for thirty years (not necessarily continuous). Emeritus Members may elect to have either a: paper and online/electronic access to the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology (JVP), or online/electronic-only access to the JVP. Emeritus members will continue to have voting rights.NOTE: If you qualify as an Emeritus member and have already paid your dues for the current year, and would like to exercise this option, please contact the SVP Business Office at: svp@vertpaleo.org; or at: + 1-847-480-9095, extension 249.
Member from a Developing Country - $25
This category is for persons who meet the criteria required of an SVP member (including agreeing to the SVP Bylaws on Ethics) and are from a developing country as defined by the Least Developed Countries list created by the United Nations. This list is located at: http://www.unohrlls.org/en/ldc/related/62/.This category will entitle the member to both a print and electronic copy of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology and voting rights.
Junior Membership - $25
Meetings: Junior Members may attend SVP annual meetings at the Student Member rate only if a parent or guardian (if the student is not emancipated) accompanies them. The parent/guardian must be a registered attendee at the meeting (at the guest attendee rate if not a member). In order to pick up their registration materials, the Junior Member and guardian/parent must be together at the meeting registration desk (at the meeting venue) and each show a valid photo id. The parent or guardian MUST accompany the Junior Member to all SVP social functions the Junior Member attends, and sit at the same table with the Junior Member while at the event. Social events include, but are not limited to, the: Welcome Reception, Student Roundtable and Reprint Exchange, guest speaker events, Auction and After Hours Party.

By making a contribution, you’re helping to ensure the continuation and growth of our education and advocacy programs. The member donor categories are:
Patron, Partner and Sustaining donors are recognized in the SVP News Bulletin, in issue number 3 of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology and on signage at the annual meeting.
An acknowledgement letter of your contribution and donor status will be sent to you.
